I’m teaching myself Afrikaans for when I move to South Africa to work at a game reserve lodge. Which I decided I wanted to do about two weeks ago.
I really want to live in this house next year. It’s a month to month lease, which is perfect because I’ll only be there one semester, and it’s cheaper than Vol Hall. Also, it looks really cool and I wouldn’t have to walk up that hill when I want to hang out with my friends. My dad is okay with it, but my mom’s like “Noooo. How will you furnish it? It’s too expensive. It’s in the Fort you’re going to get murdered”. No, mother. It’s cheaper than Vol Hall, I don’t need that much furniture, and it’s a block behind where I lived last year.
